Virtual Meeting with the New Consul General of India on Sunday January 31 from 3 to 4 PM

To celebrate the Republic Day of India, we have arranged for a zoom session with the new Consul General of India Mr. Randhir Jaiswal (shown in the picture alongside). The zoom session will include an address by the Consul General, a short cultural segment and a question-answer session with him. Mr. Jaiswal took over as the Consul General towards the end of last year from the outgoing Consul General Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty. Here is some biographical of the new Consul General:
 
Randhir Jaiswal is a career diplomat. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1998. In his over two decades of diplomatic career so far, he has served in Portugal, Cuba, South Africa and at the Permanent Mission of India in New York. 
 
In between his overseas assignments, he served in New Delhi at the Ministry of External Affairs, first as Deputy Secretary looking after India’s relations with the United States of America, and then as Joint Secretary managing India’s relations with West European countries. In the middle of 2017, he was deputed to serve the President of India as Joint Secretary managing his international relations portfolio. He is serving as Consul General of India in New York from 19 July 2020.
 
Randhir Jaiswal is passionate about sports, environment, culture, monuments, old cities and cuisines. He is deeply interested in strategic, sustainable development and public policy issues. He has been part of India’s delegation at various Climate Change Conferences and was the lead negotiator for the G-77 countries at the RIO+20 Conference held in Brazil in 2012.  He holds a Masters degree in History from Delhi University, India.
 
He speaks Hindi, English, Portuguese and Spanish and is conversant with several dialects of Bihar, India. He is married to Dr. Abha Jaiswal, a public health expert. They have two daughters.

IANH Medicare camp in partnership with Harvard Pilgrim

India Association of NH (IANH) in collaboration with Harvard Pilgrim is conducting a Medicare camp on September 22nd, 2018 from 10.30 am till 1 pm at India Palace, Nashua, NH . Complimentary Indian buffet lunch will be provided. India Association of NH, in partnership with Cox & Kings Global Services (CKGS- outsource partner for Consulate General of India), is organizing its first ever visa camp in New Hampshire. People who want to apply for OCI, visa and renunciation certificates are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity. Only a few walk-in slots may be available. IANH Public Relations Activities

IANH is involved in a number of Public Service initiatives to protect and project the image of the Indian community in New Hampshire and the US.

The committee intends to promote political awareness among the Indian community particularly among children through a program of educational seminars and discussions. This committee also establishes and maintains contact with the Indian Embassy and consulate in New York to promote goodwill between India and U.S.A.
